Article 35 of the French Code of civil procedure

Where several claims based on different and unrelated facts are made by one plaintiff against the same adversary and joined in one proceeding, the jurisdiction and rate of jurisdiction shall be determined by the nature and value of each claim considered in isolation.

Where the joined claims are based on the same facts or are related, the jurisdiction and rate of jurisdiction shall be determined by the total value of such claims.

Lorsque plusieurs prétentions fondées sur des faits différents et non connexes sont émises par un demandeur contre le même adversaire et réunies en une même instance, la compétence et le taux du ressort sont déterminés par la nature et la valeur de chaque prétention considérée isolément.

Lorsque les prétentions réunies sont fondées sur les mêmes faits ou sont connexes, la compétence et le taux du ressort sont déterminés par la valeur totale de ces prétentions.
