Article 362 of the French Civil Code

The adopter has sole parental authority over the adopted child, including the right to consent to the marriage of the adopted child.

The rights of parental authority are exercised by the adopter(s) under the conditions laid down by Chapter I of Title IX of this Book.
The rights of parental authority are exercised by the adopter or adopters under the conditions laid down in Chapter I of Title IX of this Book.

The rules governing the legal administration and guardianship of minors apply to the adopted person.

Article 362

L’adoptant est seul investi à l’égard de l’adopté de tous les droits d’autorité parentale, inclus celui de consentir au mariage de l’adopté.

Les droits d’autorité parentale sont exercés par le ou les adoptants dans les conditions prévues par le chapitre Ier du titre IX du présent livre.

Les règles de l’administration légale et de la tutelle des mineurs s’appliquent à l’adopté.
