Article 496 of the French Code of civil procedure

If the request is not granted, an appeal may be lodged unless the order is issued by the First President of the Court of Appeal. The time limit for appeal is fifteen days. The appeal is lodged, investigated and judged as in non-contentious matters.

If the application is granted, any interested party may refer the matter to the judge who made the order.

S’il n’est pas fait droit à la requête, appel peut être interjeté à moins que l’ordonnance n’émane du premier président de la cour d’appel. Le délai d’appel est de quinze jours. L’appel est formé, instruit et jugé comme en matière gracieuse.

S’il est fait droit à la requête, tout intéressé peut en référer au juge qui a rendu l’ordonnance.
