Article 507 of the French Civil Code

In the event of conflicting interests with the person in charge of the protective measure, division in respect of a protected person may be made amicably with the authorisation of the family council or, failing this, the judge. It may be only partial.

In all cases, the liquidation statement is subject to the approval of the family council or, failing this, the judge.

Sharing may also be carried out in court in accordance with articles 840 and 842.

Any other sharing is considered provisional.

En cas d’opposition d’intérêts avec la personne chargée de la mesure de protection, le partage à l’égard d’une personne protégée peut être fait à l’amiable sur autorisation du conseil de famille ou, à défaut, du juge. Il peut n’être que partiel.

Dans tous les cas, l’état liquidatif est soumis à l’approbation du conseil de famille ou, à défaut, du juge.

Le partage peut également être fait en justice conformément aux articles 840 et 842.

Tout autre partage est considéré comme provisionnel.
