Article 511 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The number and day of correctional hearings are fixed at the end of each judicial year for the following judicial year by a joint decision of the first president and the public prosecutor taken after consulting the general assembly of the court of appeal.

If necessary, this decision may be modified under the same conditions during the year.

If it is impossible to reach a joint decision, the number and day of correctional hearings are set by the first president alone.

Article 511

Le nombre et le jour des audiences correctionnelles sont fixés à la fin de chaque année judiciaire pour l’année judiciaire suivante par une décision conjointe du premier président et du procureur général prise après avis de l’assemblée générale de la cour d’appel.

En cas de nécessité, cette décision peut être modifiée dans les mêmes conditions en cours d’année.

En cas d’impossibilité de parvenir à une décision conjointe, le nombre et le jour des audiences correctionnelles sont fixés par le seul premier président.
