Article 570 of the French Code of civil procedure

Enforcement of a judgment of appeal shall be the responsibility of the court which gave judgment in the first instance or, if the latter cannot deal with the enforcement of its decisions, of the judicial tribunal.

However, the court of appeal may, even of its own motion, decide in its judgment to withhold enforcement unless enforcement is assigned by law to another court; subject to the same proviso, it may also designate the court which shall hear the enforcement of its judgment, provided that such court has jurisdiction to hear the enforcement of judicial decisions.

L’exécution de l’arrêt d’appel appartient à la juridiction qui a statué en premier ressort ou, si cette dernière ne peut connaître de l’exécution de ses décisions, au tribunal judiciaire.

Toutefois, la juridiction d’appel peut, même d’office, décider dans son arrêt d’en retenir l’exécution à moins que celle-ci ne soit attribuée par la loi à une autre juridiction ; sous la même réserve, elle peut aussi désigner la juridiction qui connaîtra de l’exécution de son arrêt, à la condition que cette juridiction soit compétente pour connaître de l’exécution des décisions de justice.
