Article 694-17 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Member States shall recognise a European Investigation Order without any formality and shall execute it in the same way and according to the same procedures as if the request had come from a national judicial authority, unless a valid reason provided for in this Section for non-recognition, non-execution or postponement of the order applies, and subject to the application of formalities expressly requested by the issuing authority which are not contrary to the fundamental principles of the law of the executing State.

Les Etats membres reconnaissent sans aucune formalité une décision d’enquête européenne et ils l’exécutent de la même manière et selon les mêmes modalités que si la demande émanait d’une autorité judiciaire nationale, sauf si est applicable un motif valable prévu par la présente section de non-reconnaissance, de non-exécution ou de report de la décision, et sous réserve de l’application des formalités expressément demandées par l’autorité d’émission non contraires aux principes fondamentaux du droit de l’Etat d’exécution.
