Article 695-52 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

In the absence of any stipulation to the contrary in the agreement concerned, this Chapter shall apply to requests for surrender between France and a State which is not a member of the European Union as soon as an agreement concluded by the European Union with that State and establishing a mechanism for surrender on the basis of an arrest warrant enters into force.

For the purposes of this section, the words “arrest warrant” shall be understood within the meaning of the agreement mentioned in the first paragraph.

En l’absence de stipulation contraire de l’accord concerné, le présent chapitre s’applique aux demandes de remise entre la France et un Etat non membre de l’Union européenne dès l’entrée en vigueur d’un accord conclu par l’Union européenne avec cet Etat et instituant un mécanisme de remise sur la base d’un mandat d’arrêt.

Pour l’application de la présente section, les mots “mandat d’arrêt” sont entendus au sens de l’accord mentionné au premier alinéa.
