Article 695-9-4 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The property freezing order shall be accompanied by a request for enforcement of an order for confiscation of the property.

Failing this, the certificate shall contain an instruction to retain the property in the executing State until receipt of the request referred to in the previous paragraph and shall mention the likely date on which such a request will be made.

The request shall be transmitted by the issuing State and processed by the executing State in accordance with the rules applicable to mutual assistance in criminal matters and international cooperation in confiscation matters.

Article 695-9-4

La décision de gel de biens est accompagnée d’une demande d’exécution d’une décision de confiscation du bien.

A défaut, le certificat contient l’instruction de conserver le bien dans l’Etat d’exécution jusqu’à la réception de la demande visée à l’alinéa précédent et mentionne la date probable à laquelle une telle demande sera présentée.

La demande est transmise par l’Etat d’émission et traitée par l’Etat d’exécution conformément aux règles applicables à l’entraide judiciaire en matière pénale et à la coopération internationale en matière de confiscation.
