Article 706-171 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Where the Paris Criminal Court or Juvenile Court declares that it does not have jurisdiction on the grounds set out in Article 706-170, it shall refer the Public Prosecutor’s Office to take action as it sees fit; it may, after hearing the Public Prosecutor’s Office, issue, by the same decision, a committal or arrest warrant for the accused.

Lorsque le tribunal correctionnel ou le tribunal pour enfants de Paris se déclare incompétent pour les motifs prévus par l’article 706-170, il renvoie le ministère public à se pourvoir ainsi qu’il avisera ; il peut, le ministère public entendu, décerner, par la même décision, mandat de dépôt ou d’arrêt contre le prévenu.
