Article 706-176 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The territorial jurisdiction of a judicial court may be extended to the jurisdiction of one or more courts of appeal for the investigation, prosecution, hearing and judgment of the offences provided for in articles 221-6,221-6-1,222-19,222-19-1,222-20 and 222-20-1 of the Penal Code in cases that involve multiple victims and are or would appear to be highly complex.

This jurisdiction extends to related offences.

A decree shall determine the list and jurisdiction of these courts, which shall comprise a section of the public prosecutor’s office and investigating and trial panels specialised in hearing these offences.

La compétence territoriale d’un tribunal judiciaire peut être étendue au ressort d’une ou plusieurs cours d’appel pour l’enquête, la poursuite, l’instruction et le jugement des délits prévus aux articles 221-6,221-6-1,222-19,222-19-1,222-20 et 222-20-1 du code pénal dans les affaires qui comportent une pluralité de victimes et sont ou apparaîtraient d’une grande complexité.

Cette compétence s’étend aux infractions connexes.

Un décret fixe la liste et le ressort de ces juridictions, qui comprennent une section du parquet et des formations d’instruction et de jugement spécialisées pour connaître de ces infractions.
