Article 706-59 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Under no circumstances may the identity or address of a witness who has benefited from the provisions of articles 706-57 or 706-58 may not be revealed, except in the case provided for in the last paragraph of article 706-60.

Revealing the identity or address of a witness who has benefited from the provisions of articles 706-57 or 706-58 is punishable by five years’ imprisonment and a fine of 75,000 euros.

En aucune circonstance, l’identité ou l’adresse d’un témoin ayant bénéficié des dispositions des articles 706-57 ou 706-58 ne peut être révélée, hors le cas prévu par le dernier alinéa de l’article 706-60.

La révélation de l’identité ou de l’adresse d’un témoin ayant bénéficié des dispositions des articles 706-57 ou 706-58 est punie de cinq ans d’emprisonnement et 75 000 euros d’amende.
