I. – Officials and agents exercising functions in the overseas territories and in New Caledonia corresponding to those of the metropolitan officials and agents referred to in articles 22 to 29 are entrusted with certain judicial police functions under the conditions and within the limits set by these same articles.
II. – The sworn agents of the territories and, in New Caledonia, of the provinces, may record offences against regulations issued by the territories or, in New Caledonia, the provinces, when they belong to an administration responsible for monitoring the implementation of these regulations. These agents are commissioned by the competent administrative authority after they have been approved by the public prosecutor. They take an oath before the court of first instance.
