Article 813-2 of the French Civil Code

The authorised successor may only act to the extent compatible with the powers of the person appointed under the third paragraph of Article 815-6, of the agent appointed pursuant to Article 812 or the executor, appointed by the testator pursuant to article 1025.

Article 813-2

Le mandataire successoral ne peut agir que dans la mesure compatible avec les pouvoirs de celui qui a été désigné en application du troisième alinéa de l’article 815-6, du mandataire désigné en application de l’article 812 ou de l’exécuteur testamentaire, nommé par le testateur en application de l’article 1025.
