Article 868-1 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Notwithstanding the provisions of the second and third paragraphs of article 712-2, the President of the Court of First Instance of Wallis and Futuna performs the duties of a sentence enforcement judge. He shall exercise the powers devolved to the sentence enforcement court in accordance with the provisions of the second paragraph of Article 712-3.

Par dérogation aux dispositions des deuxième et troisième alinéas de l’article 712-2, le président du tribunal de première instance de Wallis-et-Futuna exerce les fonctions de juge de l’application des peines. Il exerce les attributions dévolues au tribunal de l’application des peines conformément aux dispositions du deuxième alinéa de l’article 712-3.
