Article 916-24 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

In order to support the small exhibition sector, which has been particularly affected by the covid-19 epidemic and its economic and financial consequences, the part of the advances granted to operators of cinematographic entertainment establishments under the scheme provided for in articles 19-1 and 19-2 of decree no. 98-750 of 24 August 1998 relating to financial support for the showing of certain cinematographic works in cinematographic entertainment establishments and to financial support for the modernisation and creation of cinematographic entertainment establishments is converted into a grant.
The aid is granted under Commission Regulation (EU) No 1407/2013 of 18 December 2013 on the application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to de minimis aid.

Article 916-24

Afin de soutenir le secteur de la petite exploitation particulièrement affecté par l’épidémie de covid-19 et ses conséquences économiques et financières, est convertie en subvention la part restant à rembourser au titre des années 2019, 2020 et 2021 des avances accordées aux exploitants d’établissements de spectacles cinématographiques en application du dispositif prévu aux articles 19-1 et 19-2 du décret n° 98-750 du 24 août 1998 relatif au soutien financier à la diffusion de certaines œuvres cinématographiques en salles de spectacles cinématographiques et au soutien financier à la modernisation et à la création des établissements de spectacles cinématographiques.
Les aides sont attribuées au titre du règlement (UE) n° 1407/2013 de la Commission du 18 décembre 2013 relatif à l’application des articles 107 et 108 du traité sur le fonctionnement de l’Union européenne aux aides de minimis.
