In order to boost the production and preparation of cinematographic works, direct allocations are granted to delegated production companies in addition to the sums they invest, pursuant to articles 211-41, 211-62, 211-67 and 411-11, for applications submitted between 1 October 2020 and 30 April 2021 and also between 1 May 2021 and 31 October 2021 for sums invested for production, when the following conditions are met:
1° The cinematographic works are French-initiated;
2° With regard to the sums invested for production, the cinematographic works have been the subject of an application for investment approval between 1 May 2020 and 30 April 2021 or between 1 May 2021 and 31 October 2021. In the latter case, shooting or animation production must begin before 30 November 2021.
The amount of the direct allocation is equal to 25% of the amount of the sums invested, up to a limit of €100,000 per company for sums invested in preparation and €300,000 per company for sums invested in production for applications submitted between 1 May 2021 and 31 October 2021.
The allocation of direct grants is subject to the provisions of Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market in application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty, in particular those provided for in Chapter I and Article 54 of Section 11 relating to aid schemes for audiovisual works.
