Article 917-5 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

Exceptional aid is granted in the form of direct allocations to distribution companies in order to compensate for part of the expenditure they have incurred in distributing cinematographic works whose screening in cinemas has been impaired, interrupted or prevented by the measures restricting opening hours and then prohibiting public admission to these cinemas, applicable from 17 October 2020.

Des aides exceptionnelles sont attribuées sous forme d’allocations directes aux entreprises de distribution afin de compenser une partie des dépenses qu’elles ont effectuées pour la distribution d’œuvres cinématographiques dont l’exploitation en salles de spectacles cinématographiques a été dégradée, interrompue ou empêchée par les mesures de restriction des horaires puis d’interdiction d’accueil du public dans ces salles, applicables à compter du 17 octobre 2020.
