Article 933 of the French Civil Code

If the donee is of full age, the acceptance must be made by him or, in his name, by the person founded on his power of attorney, bearing authority to accept the gift made, or a general power to accept the gifts which may have been or may be made.

This power of attorney must be executed before notaries; and a copy of it must be annexed to the minute of the gift, to the minute of the acceptance which would be made by separate deed.

Article 933

Si le donataire est majeur, l’acceptation doit être faite par lui ou, en son nom, par la personne fondée de sa procuration, portant pouvoir d’accepter la donation faite, ou un pouvoir général d’accepter les donations qui auraient été ou qui pourraient être faites.

Cette procuration devra être passée devant notaires ; et une expédition devra en être annexée à la minute de la donation, à la minute de l’acceptation qui serait faite par acte séparé.
