Article A822-29 of the French Commercial code

The insurance contracts referred to in Article R. 822-36 include guarantees that comply with or are at least equivalent to those defined by the clauses specified in Appendix 8-8 to this book.

They specify in very conspicuous characters that in the event of opposition or difference between the terms of the contract and those of the aforementioned clauses the insured benefits from those of these provisions which are more favourable to him.

Les contrats d’assurance mentionnés à l’article R. 822-36 comportent les garanties conformes ou au moins équivalentes à celles qui sont définies par les clauses spécifiées à l’annexe 8-8 au présent livre.

Ils spécifient en caractères très apparents qu’en cas d’opposition ou de différence entre les termes du contrat et ceux des clauses précitées l’assuré bénéficie de celles de ces dispositions qui lui sont le plus favorables.
