Article D1161-1 of the French Public Health Code

Therapeutic patient education may be provided by the healthcare professionals mentioned in Books I and II and Titles I to VII of Book III of Part Four of this Code.

It may be provided with the assistance of other professionals.

Members of associations approved in accordance with article L. 1114-1 and organisations working in the field of health promotion, prevention or health education may participate in therapeutic patient education within the scope determined by the specifications mentioned in article L. 1161-2 and article L. 1161-3.

Article D1161-1

L’éducation thérapeutique du patient peut être dispensée par les professionnels de santé mentionnés aux livres Ier et II et aux titres Ier à VII du livre III de la quatrième partie du présent code.

Elle peut être assurée avec le concours d’autres professionnels.

Les membres des associations agréées conformément à l’article L. 1114-1 et des organismes œuvrant dans le champ de la promotion de la santé, la prévention ou l’éducation pour la santé peuvent participer à l’éducation thérapeutique du patient dans le champ déterminé par les cahiers des charges mentionnés à l’article L. 1161-2 et à l’article L. 1161-3.
