The committee chooses its chairman from among its members, who is approved by the Minister for Health. The chairman’s term of office is three years and may be renewed.
The Director General of Health, the Director General of Healthcare, the Director of Social Security, the Director of the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Healthcare Products, the Director General of the National Institute for Health and Medical Research and the Director of the Agency for the Development of Medical Evaluation attend meetings of the National Committee for Medical Evaluation in an advisory capacity.
The Directorate General for Health provides the secretariat for the National Committee for Medical Evaluation.
