The officer or agent of the judicial police responsible for the arrangements for police custody may request by any means an officer or agent of the judicial police belonging to a territorially competent service other than the one in charge of the investigation to carry out the following steps:
1° Notify the persons mentioned in article 63-2;
2° Contact the lawyer appointed or assigned to assist the person in police custody pursuant to articles 63-3-1 and following, and inform them of the places and times of the hearings;
3° Contact the doctor who is to examine the person in police custody pursuant to article 63-3;
4° Contact the interpreter in accordance with the provisions of article 63-1.
In a report sent to the requesting judicial police officer, the requested officer or agent of the judicial police will state how these steps are to be taken, which may be carried out by any member of the national police or gendarmerie, including those who are not deputy judicial police officers, placed under his responsibility and control.
