Article D3142-7 of the French Labour Code

In order to benefit immediately from leave in the cases set out in article L. 3142-19, the sudden deterioration in the state of health of the person being cared for or the crisis situation requiring urgent action by the family carer must be recorded in writing by a doctor who will draw up a medical certificate and the sudden cessation of accommodation in an establishment must be certified by the person in charge of the establishment.

Pour bénéficier immédiatement du congé dans les cas énoncés à l’article L. 3142-19, la dégradation soudaine de l’état de santé de la personne aidée ou la situation de crise nécessitant une action urgente du proche aidant est constatée par écrit par un médecin qui établit un certificat médical et la cessation brutale de l’hébergement en établissement est attestée par le responsable de cet établissement.
