For the “Dramatic content” group, a maximum of 20 points are awarded as follows:
1° A maximum of 3 points will be awarded to the “Setting” sub-group, allocated in turn as follows:
a) At least one of the action’s main settings is in France, a French-speaking country or a place with a European aesthetic: 3 points;
b) Or at least 50% of the action takes place in an undeterminable location: 2 points;
2° The “Characters” sub-group will be awarded 3 points if at least one of the main characters is French, from a French-speaking country, from a European country or of undetermined nationality;
3° The “Subject and story” sub-group will be awarded a total of 10 points, distributed as follows:
a) The subject is suitable for a young or teenage audience: 3 points;
b) The subject and story are inspired by or adapted from a pre-existing work, in particular: a cinematographic or audiovisual work, with the exception of sequels, a literary work or comic strip, an opera, a play, a video game or traditional oral tales: 4 points;
c) The subject and story refer to an event or period in history, or deal with political, social or cultural issues specific to French society or European societies: 3 points;
4° The “Language” sub-group is awarded 4 points obtained when a final version of the work is dubbed or subtitled in French.
