Students enrolled in a course of study giving access to the health professions governed by part four of this code carry out a health service when the text organising their course of study so provides.
The aim of the health service is to train these students in the challenges of primary prevention
and health promotion, in all its components, in all environments and throughout life, by taking part in carrying out practical preventive actions with groups identified as priorities, in particular primary and secondary school pupils and students in higher education establishments. It includes preparing these actions, acquiring specific pedagogical knowledge and skills, carrying out the actions under supervision and evaluating them both with the public concerned and within the training course.
The health service is organised within each training course in the form of one or more teaching units made up of theoretical and practical training periods and gives rise to validation and the award of European credits under conditions set by order of the ministers responsible for health and higher education.
