The regional or inter-regional council of the Ordre des Médecins is composed of six, ten, fourteen or sixteen pairs of full members, depending on whether the number of doctors registered on the most recently published roll of the departmental councils making up the region or inter-region is respectively
1° Less than or equal to 10,000 for regions comprising more than five départements or less than or equal to 20,000 for regions comprising no more than five départements;
2° Between 10,001 and 20,000 for regions comprising more than five départements;
3° Between 20,001 and 25,000;
4° More than 25,000.
Each departmental council elects a pair of full members to represent it on the regional or inter-regional council. The remaining seats are allocated by the Conseil national de l’ordre taking into account the number of doctors in the region or inter-region registered on the roll referred to in the first paragraph.
