The alternate member replaces the full member who ceases to hold office before the end of his term. He shall also replace a full member who is unable to take his seat.
Where the full member being replaced is a member of the executive committee of a Board, his alternate shall not replace him in the exercise of that office.
Le membre suppléant remplace le membre titulaire qui vient à cesser ses fonctions avant la fin de son mandat. Il remplace également le membre titulaire empêché de siéger.
Lorsque le membre titulaire remplacé est membre du bureau d’un conseil, son suppléant ne le remplace pas dans l’exercice de cette charge.
