The preparatory studies include theoretical and practical teaching and a period of work experience in accordance with a programme laid down by regulation.
The courses are taught by university lecturers, doctors, masseur-physiotherapist health managers or masseur-physiotherapists who hold a university diploma or level 1 qualification in the areas of teaching or the various fields taught. Qualified persons or experts may also be called upon.
The conditions governing compensation for work placements and reimbursement of travel expenses related to work placements are set by order of the ministers responsible for health and higher education.
The student attends the activities of the training supervisor or tutor and participates, under the responsibility and supervision of the training supervisor or tutor, in the professional acts that the latter usually performs.
The student may not receive any remuneration from his training supervisor or tutor, or from the persons paid for his activities as a trainee.
For the purposes of reimbursement or reimbursement by the health insurance scheme, the acts performed in this way are deemed to have been performed by the qualified masseur-physiotherapist.
