Article D4322-4 of the French Public Health Code

The training leading to the State diploma in chiropody and podiatry lasts three years, i.e. six semesters of twenty weeks each.

The teaching is broken down as follows

1° Theoretical and practical training of 2,028 hours, in the form of lectures (985 hours) and supervised work (1,043 hours) ;

2° 1,170 hours of clinical training.

Additional personal work is estimated at 2,202 hours. This includes guided personal work.

The total student workload is 5,400 hours.

La durée de la formation conduisant au diplôme d’Etat de pédicure-podologue est de trois années, soit six semestres de vingt semaines chacun.

La répartition des enseignements est la suivante :

1° La formation théorique et pratique de 2 028 heures, sous la forme de cours magistraux (985 heures) et de travaux dirigés (1 043 heures) ;

2° La formation clinique de 1 170 heures.

Le travail personnel complémentaire est estimé à 2 202 heures. Il comprend du travail personnel guidé.

L’ensemble, soit 5 400 heures, constitue la charge de travail de l’étudiant.
