Article D47-14 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Where the tutor, curator or substitute decision-maker is notified pursuant to Article 706-112-1, he is informed, if these rights have not already been exercised:

1° that he or she may appoint a lawyer or request that a lawyer be appointed by the President of the Bar;

2° that he or she may request that the person be examined by a doctor;

Where the guardian, curator or substitute decision-maker has been notified, the judicial police officer may authorise the person in custody to communicate with that person in accordance with II of article 63-2.

The provisions of Article 706-112-1 and of this Article shall also apply in the event of the detention of a person pursuant to Articles 133-1,141-4,709-1-1 et 716-5.

Where the tutor or curator is notified pursuant to Article 706-112-2, the provisions of the first two paragraphs of this Article shall apply.

Lorsque le tuteur, le curateur ou le mandataire spécial est avisé en application de l’article 706-112-1, il est informé, si ces droits n’ont pas déjà été exercés :

1° qu’il peut désigner un avocat ou demander qu’un avocat soit désigné par le bâtonnier ;

2° qu’il peut demander que la personne soit examinée par un médecin ;

Lorsque le tuteur, le curateur ou le mandataire spécial a été avisé, l’officier de police judiciaire peut autoriser le gardé à vue à communiquer avec cette personne conformément au II de l’article 63-2.

Les dispositions de l’article 706-112-1 et du présent article sont également applicables en cas de rétention d’une personne intervenant en application des articles 133-1,141-4,709-1-1 et 716-5.

Lorsque le tuteur ou le curateur est avisé en application de l’article 706-112-2, les dispositions des deux premiers alinéas du présent article sont applicables.
