As the public prosecutor’s office is responsible for the enforcement of all criminal sentences handed down by the criminal courts, a file or register known as the “Sentence Enforcement Register” is kept for this purpose by each public prosecutor’s office.
The Sentence Enforcement Register is drawn up in such a way as to allow immediate knowledge of the sentences to be enforced and, where applicable, the reasons why enforcement has not yet taken place.
The relevant entries shall be made in the register after each hearing, as well as after any diligence relating to the enforcement of the sentence or the entry of the conviction in the criminal record.
The registers for the enforcement of sentences shall be drawn up in accordance with the models laid down by the Minister of Justice and shall be kept in accordance with his instructions.
