Lorsqu’ils participent à une même enquête, les officiers ou agents de police judiciaire de la police nationale et de la gendarmerie nationale collaborent constamment dans l’intérêt de la justice. Ils mettent en commun leur compétence, leurs aptitudes et les moyens complémentaires dont ils disposent.

La répartition des tâches et la centralisation des éléments d’enquête sont assurées par le magistrat saisi.

Les officiers et agents de police judiciaire de la police nationale et de la gendarmerie nationale se font part des renseignements recueillis et des opérations effectuées dans le cadre des instructions données par le magistrat.
