Faeces are collected on the premises of the establishment or body referred to in Article L. 513-11-1.
By way of derogation from the first paragraph, the collection of faeces may, in the context of research involving the human person mentioned in Title II of Book I of Part One of the Code or an authorisation for compassionate access mentioned in Article L. 5121-12-1, be carried out at the donor’s home. This method of collection requires a written undertaking from the donor to comply with the conditions for collecting and storing faeces as defined in the rules of good practice provided for in Article L. 513-11-2, of which he has been informed in advance by the establishment or organisation mentioned in the first paragraph.
The donor undertakes to inform the establishment or the authorised body without delay of any information subsequent to the donation that may call into question the quality and safety of the stools, in accordance with the rules of good practice provided for in article L. 513-11-2.
