Article D5232-5 of the French Public Health Code

The provider of services and the distributor of equipment shall treat the person who is ill or suffering from an incapacity or disability with the same conscientiousness, without discrimination and without seeking to exploit that person’s trust for personal or financial gain.

They are prohibited from any practice that might compromise the independence of the medical team in charge of the sick or disabled person with regard to their freedom to prescribe.

Le prestataire de services et le distributeur de matériels prennent en charge la personne malade ou présentant une incapacité ou un handicap avec la même conscience sans discrimination et sans chercher à exploiter sa confiance en vue d’un avantage personnel ou financier.

Il leur est interdit toute pratique qui risquerait de compromettre l’indépendance de l’équipe médicale en charge de la personne malade ou handicapée vis-à-vis de sa liberté de prescription.
