Article D531 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Any sentenced person, subject to the application of the provisions of Article 729-2, has the option of refusing his admission to conditional release, so that the measures and special conditions that it entails with regard to him cannot be applied without his consent.

These measures and conditions must therefore be brought to the attention of the person concerned before the decision prescribing them is executed.
