Article D533-1 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

If justified by the nature of the offences committed by the offender and his personality, the decision granting conditional release may specify that the offender will be subject to enhanced monitoring by the prison integration and probation service.

This indication may also be specified, subsequent to the parole decision, by an instruction sent by the sentence enforcement judge to the service responsible for monitoring the sentenced person.

Si la nature des faits commis par le condamné et sa personnalité le justifient, la décision accordant la libération conditionnelle peut préciser que le condamné fera l’objet d’un suivi renforcé de la part du service pénitentiaire d’insertion et de probation.

Cette indication peut également être précisée, postérieurement à la décision de libération conditionnelle, par une instruction adressée par le juge de l’application des peines au service chargé de suivre le condamné.
