The decision-making body of the not-for-profit organisation managing one or more private healthcare establishments of collective interest deliberates on an institutional project, after obtaining the opinion of the medical commission and the healthcare establishment users’ commission.
This institutional project defines :
1° The general policy of the health establishment(s), based in particular on the establishment project, the medical project and the objectives of the regional or inter-regional health plan for each of them; the institutional project also includes a project relating to the development of patient care, consistent, where appropriate, with the social and medico-social activities managed by the legal entity ;
2° The cooperative actions and projects mentioned in Title III of Book I of Part Six of this Code, the cooperative actions and projects mentioned in Chapter II of Title I of Book III of the Code de l’Action Sociale et des Familles, and those it carries out with healthcare professionals providing primary care;
3° The health care organisation’s involvement in preventive actions and related public health programmes, consistent with the care activities developed and, where appropriate, with the social and medico-social activities managed by the legal entity;
4° The general policy relating to the information system of the managing legal entity, that of each of the healthcare establishments it manages, as well as the programme for the deployment of telemedicine; the institutional project identifies the health resources and equipment of all kinds and the staff required for its implementation;
5° The procedures by which users and their representative associations are involved by the governing body of the managing legal entity in the design, implementation and evaluation of the policies defined by the institutional project.
The institutional project is established for a maximum period of five years. It may be revised at any time.
The institutional project is forwarded to the Director General of the Regional Health Agency. The same applies to any amendments made to the institutional project after the initial transmission.
