Article L1123-19 of the French Public Health Code

For research, clinical investigations or performance studies covered by national defence confidentiality, the sponsor must notify the competent authority of all relevant information relating to the safety of the research, clinical investigation or performance study. Where such research, clinical investigations or performance studies involve persons who have no medical condition and who voluntarily undergo such research, clinical investigations or performance studies, the sponsor shall also notify the Minister for Defence.

Pour les recherches, investigations cliniques ou études des performances relevant du secret de la défense nationale, le promoteur notifie à l’autorité compétente toutes les informations pertinentes relatives à la sécurité de la recherche, de l’investigation clinique ou de l’étude des performances. Lorsque ces recherches, investigations cliniques ou études des performances portent sur des personnes qui ne présentent aucune affection et se prêtent volontairement à ces recherches, investigations cliniques ou études des performances, il les notifie également au ministre de la défense.
