Article L1131-1-3 of the French Public Health Code

I.- By way of derogation from the second paragraph ofArticle L. 1111-2 andArticle L. 1111-7, only the doctor prescribing the examination of genetic characteristics is authorised to communicate the results of this examination to the person concerned or, in the case of an adult subject to a legal protection measure with representation of the person, to the person in charge of the protection measure.

II – By way of derogation fromArticle L. 6211-11 and II ofArticle L. 6211-19, the test result is communicated to the prescriber by the medical biology laboratory authorised in application ofArticle L. 1131-2-1. If a medical biology laboratory was involved in transmitting the sample, it is informed of this communication by the authorised laboratory.

Article L1131-1-3

I.-Par dérogation au deuxième alinéa de l’article L. 1111-2 et à l’article L. 1111-7, seul le médecin prescripteur de l’examen des caractéristiques génétiques est habilité à communiquer les résultats de cet examen à la personne concernée ou, s’agissant d’un majeur faisant l’objet d’une mesure de protection juridique avec représentation à la personne, à la personne chargée de la mesure de protection.

II.-Par dérogation à l’article L. 6211-11 et au II de l’article L. 6211-19, la communication du résultat de l’examen au prescripteur est faite par le laboratoire de biologie médicale autorisé en application de l’article L. 1131-2-1. Si un laboratoire de biologie médicale est intervenu pour transmettre l’échantillon, il est informé de cette communication par le laboratoire autorisé.
