Article L1131-2 of the French Public Health Code

An order by the Minister for Health, issued on a proposal from the Agence de la biomédecine and the Haute Autorité de santé, defines the rules of good practice applicable to the prescription and performance of an examination of a person’s genetic characteristics and identification by genetic fingerprinting for medical purposes. This order also defines the rules of good practice applicable, where applicable, to the medical follow-up of the person.

Un arrêté du ministre chargé de la santé, pris sur proposition de l’Agence de la biomédecine et de la Haute Autorité de santé, définit les règles de bonnes pratiques applicables à la prescription et la réalisation de l’examen des caractéristiques génétiques d’une personne et de son identification par empreintes génétiques à des fins médicales. Cet arrêté définit également les règles de bonnes pratiques applicables, le cas échéant, au suivi médical de la personne.
