Article L1133-3 of the French Public Health Code

As stated in Article 226-27 of the Criminal Code, reproduced below:

“The act of identifying a person by genetic fingerprinting for medical or scientific research purposes or of taking biological traces of an ascendant, descendant or collateral relative for the purpose of establishing the identity of a person referred to in 3° of the same article by genetic fingerprinting, without the person’s consent having been obtained under the conditions set out in Article 16-11 of the Civil Code, is punishable by one year’s imprisonment and a fine of €15,000. “

Comme il est dit à l’article 226-27 du code pénal ci-après reproduit :

” Le fait de procéder, sans avoir recueilli le consentement de la personne dans les conditions prévues par l’article 16-11 du code civil, à son identification par ses empreintes génétiques à des fins médicales ou de recherche scientifique ou au prélèvement de ses traces biologiques à titre d’ascendant, descendant ou collatéral aux fins de l’établissement, par ses empreintes génétiques, de l’identité d’une personne mentionnée au 3° du même article, est puni d’un an d’emprisonnement et de 15 000 € d’amende. “
