Article L1143-13 of the French Public Health Code

The out-of-court settlement reached between the liable party and the claimant or his heirs, including in application of the agreement referred to in article L. 1143-9 of this Code, and the judgment ruling on the claimant’s or his heirs’ rights to compensation are subject, depending on the case, to Chapter VI of Title VII of Book III of the Social Security Code, to Chapter IV of Title V of Book IV of the same Code, to article L. 752-23 of the Code rural et de la pêche maritime (Rural and Maritime Fishing Code), Ordinance no. 59-76 of 7 January 1959 relating to actions for civil damages by the State and certain other public bodies or Chapter II and Article 44 of Law no. 85-677 of 5 July 1985 designed to improve the situation of victims of road traffic accidents and to speed up compensation procedures.

Article L1143-13

Le règlement amiable qui intervient entre le responsable et le demandeur ou ses ayants droit, y compris en application de la convention mentionnée à l’article L. 1143-9 du présent code, et le jugement statuant sur les droits à indemnisation du demandeur ou de ses ayants droit sont soumis, selon le cas, au chapitre VI du titre VII du livre III du code de la sécurité sociale, au chapitre IV du titre V du livre IV du même code, à l’article L. 752-23 du code rural et de la pêche maritime, à l’ordonnance n° 59-76 du 7 janvier 1959 relative aux actions en réparation civile de l’Etat et de certaines autres personnes publiques ou au chapitre II et à l’article 44 de la loi n° 85-677 du 5 juillet 1985 tendant à l’amélioration de la situation des victimes d’accidents de la circulation et à l’accélération des procédures d’indemnisation.
