Article L1225-66 of the French Labour Code

In order to bring up their child, employees may terminate their employment contract at the end of their maternity or adoption leave or, as the case may be, two months after the birth or arrival in the home of their child, provided they give their employer at least fifteen days’ notice, without being required to respect the notice period or pay compensation for termination.

Pour élever son enfant, le salarié peut, sous réserve d’en informer son employeur au moins quinze jours à l’avance, rompre son contrat de travail à l’issue du congé de maternité ou d’adoption ou, le cas échéant, deux mois après la naissance ou l’arrivée au foyer de l’enfant, sans être tenu de respecter le délai de préavis, ni de devoir de ce fait d’indemnité de rupture.
