An employer who is planning to make employees redundant for economic reasons, whether individually or as part of a mass redundancy scheme involving less than ten employees within the same thirty-day period, shall, before taking any decision, invite the person(s) concerned to an interview.
The notice is sent by registered letter or by hand-delivered letter against receipt. The letter shall state the purpose of the meeting.
The preliminary interview may not take place less than five working days after presentation of the registered letter or hand-delivery of the letter convening the interview.
