Article L124-3 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

Under penalty of nullity, no sale by public auction, whether voluntary or forced, of a cinematographic or audiovisual work or of any of its components may be carried out until fifteen days after a summons to attend the sale, which the pursuing party must serve on each of the creditors entered in the public film and audiovisual register or in the register of options, at the address given in the entry.

A peine de nullité, il ne peut être procédé à la vente aux enchères publiques, volontaire ou forcée, d’une œuvre cinématographique ou audiovisuelle ou de l’un quelconque de ses éléments, que quinze jours après une sommation d’assister à la vente que le poursuivant doit faire signifier à chacun des créanciers inscrits au registre public du cinéma et de l’audiovisuel ou au registre des options, au domicile élu dans l’inscription.
