Article L1251-58-1 of the French Labour Code

A temporary work agency may conclude an open-ended contract with an employee for the performance of successive assignments. Each assignment gives rise to:

1° The conclusion of a secondment contract between the temporary employment undertaking and the user client, known as the “user undertaking”;

2° A letter of assignment drawn up by the temporary employment undertaking.

Une entreprise de travail temporaire peut conclure avec le salarié un contrat à durée indéterminée pour l’exécution de missions successives. Chaque mission donne lieu à :


1° La conclusion d’un contrat de mise à disposition entre l’entreprise de travail temporaire et le client utilisateur, dit “ entreprise utilisatrice ” ;


2° L’établissement, par l’entreprise de travail temporaire, d’une lettre de mission.
