Article L1311-2 of the French Labour Code

The establishment of internal regulations is compulsory in undertakings or establishments employing at least fifty employees.

The obligation provided for in the first paragraph applies at the end of a period of twelve months from the date on which the threshold of fifty employees is reached, in accordance with article L. 2312-2.

Special provisions may be established for a category of personnel or a division of the company or establishment.

Article L1311-2

L’établissement d’un règlement intérieur est obligatoire dans les entreprises ou établissements employant au moins cinquante salariés.


L’obligation prévue au premier alinéa s’applique au terme d’un délai de douze mois à compter de la date à laquelle le seuil de cinquante salariés a été atteint, conformément à l’article L. 2312-2.

Des dispositions spéciales peuvent être établies pour une catégorie de personnel ou une division de l’entreprise ou de l’établissement.
