Article L1470-3 of the French Public Health Code

The ministers responsible for health and social action, or where applicable the minister responsible for defence, shall make available to professionals, both natural and legal persons, working in the health, social and medico-social sectors the means of electronic identification, whether tangible or intangible, enabling the use of digital health services.

The characteristics of these means of electronic identification and the procedures for making them available and using them shall be laid down by order of the ministers responsible for health, social action and defence.

Article L1470-3

Les ministres chargés de la santé et de l’action sociale, ou le cas échéant le ministre de la défense, mettent à disposition des professionnels, personnes physiques et morales, intervenant dans les secteurs sanitaire, social et médico-social les moyens d’identification électronique, matériels ou immatériels, permettant l’utilisation des services numériques en santé.

Les caractéristiques de ces moyens d’identification électronique ainsi que les modalités de leur mise à disposition et de leur utilisation sont fixées par arrêté des ministres chargés de la santé, de l’action sociale et de la défense.
