Article L2121-30 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

I.-The town council decides on the creation and location of public elementary and nursery schools and classes after consultation with the representative of the State in the department.

II.-The town council names the roads and localities, including private roads open to traffic.

The municipalities will make available the data relating to the naming of roads and the numbering of houses and other buildings as part of the reference data provided for in article L. 321-4 of the Code of Relations between the Public and the Administration.

The procedures for applying this article will be set out in the following sections.
The terms and conditions for the application of this article are laid down by decree in the Council of State.

Article L2121-30

I.- Le conseil municipal décide de la création et de l’implantation des écoles et classes élémentaires et maternelles d’enseignement public après avis du représentant de l’Etat dans le département.

II.-Le conseil municipal procède à la dénomination des voies et lieux-dits, y compris les voies privées ouvertes à la circulation.


Les communes mettent à disposition les données relatives à la dénomination des voies et la numérotation des maisons et autres constructions dans le cadre de la mise à disposition des données de référence prévue à l’article L. 321-4 du code des relations entre le public et l’administration.


Les modalités d’application du présent article sont fixées par décret en Conseil d’Etat.
